I am a DBS checked, fully accredited and experienced Cognitive Behavioural Therapist registered with the professional body BABCP (The British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies), with 17 years of continuous work in mental health as a psychotherapist. Besides CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), I am also trained in ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), CFT (Compassion Focussed Therapy) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing). I am too a qualified mindfulness teacher and a long term meditator.
Equipped with many strings in my therapist bow, I aim to get to know you, offer you a safe space to explore your difficulties, and tailor treatment attentively to your needs.
I have successfully provided short, medium and long-term psychological therapies to adults in a variety of settings, both NHS and private, working with clients presenting with straight forward to more complex needs. I have also been invited to supervise therapists, and examine trainee therapists.
Prior to working full time in private practice, my last role was in the NHS, offering therapy to clients experiencing traumas, perinatal and long term physical health difficulties.
